The Government of India's Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) Chief Controller of Explosives (CCOE) issues approvals to products for hazardous environments that conform to Indian standards. Approval from the CCOE is mandatory for all electrical equipment installed in explosive or potentially explosive atmospheres.

SEICO/EXHEAT's range of FP immersion heaters are approved for use in Zone 1 of Gas Group IIC hazardous areas, while its ISE range of heaters are approved for used in Zone 2 of Gas Group II, under the purview of the Petroleum Rules issued by PESO.

The CE marking (also known as the CE mark) is a mandatory conformity mark on many products placed on the single market in the European Economic Area (EEA). The CE marking certifies that a product has met EU consumer safety, health or environmental requirements.

SEICO/EXHEAT heaters are designed for use in hazardous areas and comply with the most stringent safety regulations. Where required, SEICO/EXHEAT electric heaters carry the necessary CE markings.

Contrary to the IECEx, CSA and ATEX certification, the CE marking is achieved through an internal self-certification process.

CNEx is a research institute covering safe practices of Ex electrical equipment in China, and forms the scientific base of research and verification of Ex equipment in the country. Its main functions are to provide equipment testing and revision of standards for equipment used in hazardous areas.

The China National Quality Supervision and Test Centre for Explosion Protected Electrical Products (CQST) is the supervisory and testing arm of CNEx ensuring hazardous equipment are evaluated and conform to China's national and industrial standards, as well as IEC, EN, CSA and UL standards.

SEICO/EXHEAT carries a wide range of electric heating equipment which are certified CSA for use in the United States and Canada. The CSA certification ensures that equipment is designed and manufactured to the highest safety standards.

Under the CSA scheme, hazardous locations have traditionally been defined by the following combination of Class and Division:

Class I: A location where a quantity of flammable gas or vapor, sufficient to produce an explosive or ignitable mixture, may be present in the air.

Class II : A location made hazardous by the presence of combustible or electrically conductive dust, including Groups E (metal dust), F (coal dust) and G (grain dust).

Class III: A location made hazardous by the presence of easily ignitable fibres or flyings in the air, but not likely in sufficient quantities to produce ignitable mixtures.

Division 1 : A location where a classified hazard is likely to exist.

Division 2 : A location where a classified hazard does not normally exist but is possible under abnormal conditions. SEICO/EXHEAT carries a range of electric heaters that have been certified for Class I, Div 2 Gas Group A, B, C, D

In accordance with the unification of certification requirements for member countries of the Customs Union (Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus), the new Customs Union Technical Regulations (CU TR) EurAsian Conformity (EAC) Mark for machinery and equipment came into force on 15 February 2013. The new EAC mark combines and supersedes the earlier individual standards from the respective countries (like the formerly applicable GOST-R and GOST-K marks) and all hazardous area equipment destined for these countries must be labelled with the new mark.

Achilles FPAL (First Point Assessment) is an online networking service used by major buying companies within the oil and gas sector. The system makes use of company details from the Achilles pre-qualification database and buyers can be certain that all listed vendors have been rigorously assessed for quality.

SEICO/EXHEAT is registered under FPAL as a supplier for the Oil & Gas Industry in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Netherlands, holding Supplier No. 10040997.

Equipment imported or operated within dangerous industrial locations in Kazakhstan require a permit from the Ministry for Emergency Situations of ROK, certifying that the product is certified in accordance with Kazakhstan fire safety regulations. As of 15 February 2013, this certification has been unified with the other hazardous area standards from member countries of the Customs Union (Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus) under the new CU TR EurAsian Conformity (EAC) Mark.
